Kiss My Chef – 24/12/9: The nose offers rich aromas of black berries, truffle, and undergrowth. The palate is fresh, ample, fruity, and silky with fine tannins and a lovely persistence.
Ecoréseau business – November 2024: Aged in oak barrels for 12 months, this blend of Grenache and Syrah (AOP Coteaux d’Aix en Provence) boasts a deep, inky purple color and a full, fruity, and silky palate with well-structured tannins. Flavors of blackcurrant and wild blackberry mingle with spices reminiscent of Provençal herbs. Delicious with scrambled eggs with truffles, duck breast, guinea fowl with prunes, stuffed capon, or puff pastry with white pudding.
Singulars – 23/12/01: With its deep, inky purple hue, the wine evokes the Alpilles mountains with notes of thyme, savory, and forest floor. The palate is ample, fruity, and silky with present tannins. Flavors of blackcurrant and wild blackberry mingle with spices. Top Vins – october 2023: A very elegant wine with surprising aromatic potential. A lovely, complex, and appealing nose. The palate is ample, silky, seductive, and fresh, with a beautiful aromatic range and fine tannins. Magical with Venetian-style calf’s liver or a venison steak.

Aeternus – 22/05/13: The Léa’s black purple ink dress announces blackberries. The bouquet also exhales savory and thyme. And smoky aromas of chocolate and undergrowth are perceptible. Ludovic Vançon evokes “ripe fruits, slightly jammy, spices and Provence herbs, for a nose sublimated by wood.” In the mouth, the attack is frank. The wine imposes itself by its amplitude and complexity. The tannins are melted and silky. Blackcurrant and wild blackberry are found, aromas whose expression extends over time.
Singulars – 22/03/31: Léa 2018 is a wine that fully expresses the Mediterranean terroir, with scents of thyme and flavors of ripe dark red fruits. The tannins are prominent, giving the wine body and soul. It is best paired with meats, such as beef or lamb.
Paris-Bistrot.com – 22/03/30: Its power is already reflected in its dark purple color. This blend of Syrah and Grenache expresses the garigue, with notes of thyme and savory. In the mouth, faithful to the color of the dress, one finds blackberries and blackcurrants, it is supple and fresh. This wine has length and never loses its structure. For the Easter meal, Léa will be perfectly matched to a leg of lamb prepared in the style of Reboul, the author of a famous Provençal cookbook.
Luxury-Touch.com – 22/03/15: As Léo Ferré put it, “with time everything goes away. We forget the face and we forget the voice…” but certainly not this Léa 2018! A fleshly wine, nearly perfect with a nearly absolute expression. A majesty that binds great finesse to the wild character of the terroir. Even the notes merge into a partition that is both moving and luminous. And yes, this great wine is a creator of silence. It renders all description inaudible, and for good reason: it cannot be reduced to its notes or to the chords it proposes. That would be truly vulgar. This is a great red that requires experiencing! It’s not just angels passing by, it’s a culinary orgasm it offers and yet, I choose my words carefully. Absolute subjectivity? Perhaps… However, a wine like this, I hadn’t found one in years. And what joy, what apotheosis! It’s as if a fairy had leaned over her cradle.

Kiss my Chef – 23/04/05: To deliciously complement meat-based dishes, the 2017 Cuvée Léa is a must. This sun-drenched vintage, with its magnificent fruitiness, offers a journey into the heart of the garrigue. It’s a wine of pure joy to have in your cellar, as it still has many years of aging potential.
Its deep, inky purple color has a touch of mystery. Very rich on the nose, it exudes wild aromas of the Alpilles mountains intertwined with black berries, truffles, and undergrowth, telling the story of Provence. It also reveals jammy notes of blackcurrant and blackberry, and fragrances of Provençal herbs, all imbued with a remarkable freshness. The Cuvée Léa pairs perfectly with all kinds of gastronomic occasions, from the simplest to the most refined. Among friends, it is enjoyed with charcuterie and breadsticks with black olives, grilled meats, a piece of beef on the plancha, osso buco, a daube with olives, a roasted cauliflower with mild spices… For Easter, it will give you great pleasure as an accompaniment to a truffle pizza, lamb shanks flavored with a mixture of herbs and anchovies, cheeses such as a Fleur de maquis corse and a chocolate cake with olive oil.
VertdeVin – Magazine 2023: The wine shows a dense ruby colour with a touch of garnet. The nose reveals nuances of black olives tapenade, soya sauce and balsamic, complemented by nuances of Mediterranean herbs and blackberries. The palate is juicy and dense with good freshness, opulent flavour intensity and polished tannins. The wine has a distinct savoury profile of black olives, sage and rosemary, with black berries and liquorice in the echo. Juicy, saline finish. 15.5/91-92
Robert Parker Wine Advocate – 01/05/19 : (rating:93 – drink date: 2022-2032) An 80-20 blend of Syrah and Grenache aged in 20% new oak, the 2016 Coteaux d’Aix en Provence Cuvee Lea is a terrific wine. Elegant notes of pencil shavings accent black cherries and blackberries in this full-bodied, rich, velvety effort. Mouthfilling and chewy without being overdone, it should be drinking well in 3-4 years and go strong for another decade. Tasted twice (once blind), with consistent notes.
Gourmets&Co – 2020/04/290: A blend that often ensures good aging. This is the case for this Léa vintage which has been particularly well cared for. Low yield per hectare, organic certification, selection of old vines from specific plots, one year of wood aging, and an additional two years for maximum expression. The result: a rich, powerful, silky, and perfectly structured wine. A beautiful expression of its terroir and Provençal earth. Red fruits, truffle, and some spices, it’s all there. An exceptional vintage. Serve at 17°C with red meats, of course, and game.
L’Honoré Magasine – 2020/05/27: The sun beats down and a straw hat is necessary to traverse the vineyards. The warm wind brings subtle salty scents of rock and thyme. It’s summer. In the distance, hidden cicadas evoke old Pagnol films. No matter what, Provence is a postcard. However, it is not devoid of surprises. At the estate’s cellar, where passersby can taste the different vintages, the refreshing air is welcome. The first surprise is very feminine. Minimalist label, thin lines, and its name: Léa. Sweetness and indulgence in perspective. In the glass, this 2015 vintage with a dark color lets the wild scents of the terroir mixed with black berries exhale. Truly, it’s summer. A freshness of undergrowth, already, invites to tasting. And this blend of Grenache and Syrah keeps its promise: very elegant, fresh, indulgent with a dominance of fruits, all in a full and silky mouthfeel. The tannins are balanced and the wild fruits dominate the spices this time. Léa persists through a beautiful finish. A great wine.
Ecoréseau Business – april 2020: This wine is an elegant and complex blend of Grenache and Syrah, produced from selectively harvested old vines cultivated using organic farming methods on a sandstone and limestone terroir with a high rocky content. Its nose carries subtle hints of blackcurrant or blackberry jam perfectly mixed with notes of Provençal spices. This wine is imbued with the wild aromas of the Alpilles intertwined with black berries, truffle and undergrowth. The palate is full, fruity and silky with well-structured tannins. It is an ideal accompaniment to lamb, wild boar, and other gamey meats.
Centre Presse 20/11/24: It presents itself in a dark purple ink robe. It exhales wild fragrances of the Alpilles that blend black berries, truffle and undergrowth. The mouth is ample, fruity and silky with well-structured tannins. Blueberry and wild blackberry flavors combine with spices and grilled notes. This richly extracted wine offers freshness, persistence and vigor.
