Its attack is direct, with a mouthwatering, supple, and delicate tannic structure that underscores a luminous palate with fruity accents. A beautiful finish of slightly spicy and fresh black cherry. La Revue du Vin de France (collection découverte) – may, 2023: Built on the expression of fresh fruit, this wine also illustrates the spicy southern character. Crisp tannins give it an appealing structure. A beautiful red that pairs equally well with duck or grilled meats. (89/100)
Maxi hors-série – Gros plan sur la syrah – november, 2023: A sunny and generous wine, which goes well with a leg of lamb with herbs from Provence, its place of origin, a ratatouille, an eggplant gratin.
VertdeVin – Magazine 2023 : The wine shows a bright ruby colour with a brightening rim. The nose is restrained, needs time and air to open up. The palate is delicate and fine with polished tannins and good freshness. The wine reveals nuances of ripe dark berries like blackberries and bramble, combined with savoury nuances of herbs and soya sauce. Pleasant, saline finish. Already accessible and easy-drinking food wine that stands out from the crowd. 15.25/90

Robert Parker Wine Advocate – 01/05/19 : (rating:90 – drink date : 2019-2025) A blend of 60% Syrah, 20% Grenache and 20% Carignan, the 2017 Coteaux d’Aix en Provence Eole Rouge sees no oak, remaining in concrete until bottling. It’s floral, peppery and cherry-laden on the nose, with lovely, complex spice notes. Medium to full-bodied, it’s silky textured and open on the palate, finishing long.
Valeurs Actuelles – April 18th, 2019 : […] The estate continues to be run by Matthias Wimmer and his team, who are committed to ensuring the quality of the wine produced. The wines have been among the best in the appellation for several years now. Take, for example, the top-of-the-line Léa, a blend of Grenache and Syrah with hints of blackcurrant, blackberry, spices, white pepper, and cherry. However, it’s the “domaine” cuvée that truly reflects the winemaker’s quality. The 2017 Domaine d’Éole is a great example of this, made from a blend of Syrah, Grenache, and Carignan, opening up with beautiful aromas of blackberries, spices, pepper, and cocoa. It pairs perfectly with a beef rib or leg of lamb. Philippe Richard
